Arlene LaFlamme stands among the many choices of papers, stamps and other accessories that will help her clients decorate their memories in their scrap- books.

Arlene LaFlamme started working with pictures and patterns part-time at a scrapbooking store until the opportunity arose to become the owner of A Page in Time in 2003.

It is a place "where scrapbooking is just a bag full of fun."

Shortly after, Arlene asked Stephany LaFlamme to join her as manager of the store.

"From that point on, we have never looked behind us, but rather forged ahead," they said. "We work well together as a team."

They sell all acid-free and lignin-free products to preserve all photographs and memorabilia. They also sell patterned paper, cardstock, ribbon, beads and stamps to add to the design of scrapbooks.

Arlene and Stephany also provide custom cuts and crops to personalize scrapbook albums.

"We can cut just about anything," they said.

If you just need a little help, they can teach you how to make your own scrapbooks. All of the classes are custom-created by Arlene, who is a published scrapbook designer. Pine Cone Press Chipboard Book was the first national company to publish her work, which was a paper bag album that featured chipboard.

No matter what you need to learn, they can help you through it. "We take time with each customer to ensure that they understand the world of scrapbooking," they said.

By working with people over the years and seeing their memories, the LaFlammes said many of their customers become their family.

"When they share their photos and stories with us, this becomes the bonding factor," they said.

And if you don't have the time to learn how to or make your own scrapbook, they can design photo albums for you for anything from baby pictures to wedding photos.

A Page in Time also offers private scrapbooking parties for birthday parties, baby showers, bridal showers, going away parties and anything else you can think of.
