Police arrest 3 following string of shootings in city

Zachery Daniel Hall, 18, of Dudley, was charged with two counts of discharge weapon into occupied property, remove serial number from firearm, aid and abet, two counts of discharge firearm in city, damage to property and two counts of breaking and entering, said LaToya Henry, Goldsboro public information officer.

Hall received a $55,000 secured bond.

Hank Sebourn III, 19, of Kinston, was charged with alter/remove serial number from firearm, discharge firearm from enclosure, two counts of breaking and entering, discharge firearm in city and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, Henry said.

Sebourne received a $65,000 secured bond.

A juvenile was also arrested and petitions are pending, Henry said.

On Saturday at about 6 p.m., Goldsboro police received reports that 42 rounds of gunfire had been shot in areas near 105 Bright St., 909 E. Walnut St. and 114 Lionel St., Henry said. Officers ended up finding a vehicle riddled with gunshots at 907 E. Walnut St.

Then, on Sunday at about 8:20 p.m., police received a ShotSpotter alert that eight rounds of gunfire had been shot near 902 E. Walnut St. Police discovered that a home at 907 E. Walnut St. was struck by gunfire, Henry said.

By Monday, police again responded to a ShotSpotter alert that reported eight rounds of gunfire near 806 E. Walnut St. Officers were at the scene within minutes of receiving the report and found three suspects trying to escape the area by breaking into a nearby building, Henry said. Police also found a gun and bullets.

Police determined that the suspects were likely involved in the recent shootings that spanned several days in the city.
